This mobile "special service" unit is a combined effort between the
Bucks County Rescue Squad and the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad
to
provide rehabilitation to emergency service providers at emergency incidents.

This service is open all EMS, fire, police, and Hazardous Material agencies
that operate in Bucks County.
The function of this unit is to offer a place to ensure that emergency
service providers are appropriately "rehabilitated" during extended
emergency activities
in accordance with national standards. This unit is not a
canteen service, however, does carry a limited amount soup, water, and Gatorade
in order to provide immediate
re-hydration in the "rehab sector." This
unit carries a misting fan as well as a shelter/decon tent that is capable of
being heated or cooled, depending on conditions.
This mobile unit is also recognized by the Bucks County Squad Chief’s
Association and the Bucks County Communications Department as a
Mass Casualty
Unit. This unit will be placed in service according to the Bucks County
Mass Casualty Disaster Plan.
MCI Unit # 4 is equipped with supplies to handle an
incident with approximately 50 patients.
